Required

Spot

Allow reading the account and placing Spot orders.

Optional

Earn

Earn is not used for BUY. When Spot has too little of an asset for SELL, the service can request redemption from a supported flexible Earn product.

Keep disabled

Withdraw

The bot does not need withdrawal permission. Enabling it creates unnecessary risk.

01

Before creating the key

  1. Sign in using the official exchange address.

Check the domain and TLS certificate. Do not follow API setup links from unsolicited messages.

  2. Enable account security controls.

Use two-factor authentication and the exchange anti-phishing features before creating API credentials.

  3. Create a dedicated API key.

Do not reuse a key shared with another service. A separate key can be revoked without affecting other integrations.

02

Permission check

  1. Enable account reading and Spot trading.

These permissions are needed to read balances, inspect orders and trade the selected pairs.

  2. Decide whether to enable Earn.

This permission is optional. BUY uses only the available Spot balance. For SELL, the service can request redemption from a supported flexible Earn product when the required asset is missing from Spot.

  3. Keep a sale-ready Spot balance.

Redemption depends on the exchange, asset, product and API permissions. If it is unavailable or delayed, the lot stays open and you receive an alert to return the asset to Spot yourself.

  4. Confirm that withdrawals are disabled.

Do not continue until transfer and withdrawal permissions are off.

03

IP allowlist

  1. Add the algostr.com server IP to the API key allowlist.

Use this IP when the exchange offers an IP restriction for API keys: 185.250.181.217.

  2. Save the key and then add it to your account.

The connection form verifies the key directly with the selected exchange before storing it.

04

Binance checklist

Open Binance API management

  1. Enable Reading is required and is normally enabled automatically.
  2. Enable Spot & Margin & Stock Trading. Binance currently groups Spot access in this permission.
  3. Enable Permits Universal Transfer only when you want the bot to return assets from Binance Simple Earn to Spot before selling. It permits internal Binance transfers, not external withdrawals. Keep Enable Withdrawals disabled.
  4. Select Restrict access to trusted IPs only and add the algostr.com server IP.

Exchange labels can change. If a setting is unclear, do not grant it until it is confirmed by the exchange documentation or support.
